A Freak

Last week, on saturday, a friend and I went to a party but it was not just any party - it was a freak party. The kind of people who hang around Flinders St. Station and wear top hats and carry canes and wear tails ( like the dinner jacket - not animal tails although I wouldn't be surprised). We left the party pretty soon after we got there because they were just stupid.

On the way back we got to talking about freaks and in particular why they think they're so much better than "normal" people ... you know the kind, they have a job, don't stay at uni instead of going out and working, people who live in the real world.
We decided that they think themselves better because of this reason, they do what they want and don't dress or behave like everybody else; I know this isn't an original idea but who are they trying to fool? they're Exactly like every other freak out there. And do they think we're shocked by their ways, that we don't know how to take it because we don't acknowledge them or make comment about their behaviour? I hate to disappoint but no, it's just that we don't care, we've seen it all before and they're not quite as original and different as they think they are.

I don't care what other people do, as long as they aren't slaughtering animals and small children for kicks, but if any freak is ever reading this ( and you know who you are) don't act so superior to everybody else, because you're not.
